If so, consider You could make a Difference, a 17-minute video/DVD featuring two priests and three sisters as they work around the country. Each video/DVD is in English and Spanish. Videographers include the award-winning Digital Shooters, Inc., who traveled the USA for the It All Starts With Faith campaign. The vocation question comes to life in the work of Father Mike Schwarte in Petersburg, Alaska; Sister Janet Gidlea, SC and Sister Peggy Deneweth, SC, in El Paso, Texas; Sister Mary Claudina Sanz, OSP, in inner-city Baltimore; and Father Agustin Mateo in Washington, DC.

PRAYER FOR RELIGIOUS VOCATIONS

 

Heavenly Father, your loving providence accompanies us on our life’s journey. Thank you for your many gifts to us. We ask that you continue to call sons and daughters from our families and parishes to serve as priests, deacons, and consecrated men and women. Send your Spirit upon us so that many will respond with great love to your call to service in your Church. Give to those you have chosen the faith of the apostle, the vision of the prophet, and the courage of the martyr. Help us to be faithful disciples of your Son by following the example of Mary. Make us generous in sharing ourselves and our talents for the sake of your Kingdom on earth. We ask this through Christ your Son.
