Region 10 announces logo contest!
Thank you for agreeing to accept the challenge of designing a logo for Region 10 Catholic Youth Ministry; our hope is to update the current Region 10 logo to make it more youth friendly while still reflecting the flavor of who we are as a Region. As a region, we have decided that the winning logo will receive a $200 stipend.
An effective logo is an important part of branding; it is how an audience identifies a particular event, group, or product. The Region 10 logo will be our branding symbol on every Regional handout, t-shirt, pamphlet, etc. Here are the criteria for the logo design:
· Because the logo is a type of branding for Region 10, it must accurately represent all of the Offices of Youth and Young Adult Ministry for all three states in the region (Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas).
o The logo should represent diversity and inclusivity
o The logo should be appealing to both teens and adults
o The logo MUST be youth friendly
o The logo MUST reflect the mission of Region 10 Catholic Youth Ministry
1. Called to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ to the young Church, Region 10 Catholic Youth Ministry
a) Promotes and models youth ministry as outlined in Renewing The Vision: A Framework for Catholic Youth Ministry (USCCB),
b) Resources Diocesan leadership,
c) Provides Personal and Ministerial support for Diocesan Leadership.
· Additional Criteria:
o The logo should be effective on both small and large scale uses (business cards to backdrops)
o The logo should be reproducible in both color and black & white
o The logo should be unique and identifiable
o The logo should be timeless
To enter a logo for consideration, please submit a pdf or jpeg of your logo design along with your name and contact information to your Diocesan Director no later than Friday April 24, 2009.
